Cheyenne, Morning

I’ve driven through Cheyenne, Wyoming many times and have always loved a particular section of gently rolling hills right past the westbound I-80/I-25 interchange. There’s nothing to see but bumps of hills with low grasses and brush growing on them – and the sky above – except for a long series of power lines on the old wooden double-poled supports holding the wires up for miles and miles.

This piece captures a memory of that vista from one foggy morning as the hills recede and the power lines and poles stand solitary in their line.
